Job Description
Global Adventure Challenges is a charity-led challenge event company, creating life-changing challenges for groups and individuals. These adventures range from trekking to cycling and are run in partnership with a wide range of charities. They also run a number of open challenges, including the London to Paris cycle.
Typical duties include making and managing all supplier bookings associated with the challenges you are responsible for, collecting and collating participant information in a timely manner and sending this on to suppliers in the lead up to your challenge. You will also be responsible for updating all supporting documents that are sent out to participants ahead of their challenges.
Leaders are required to be 21 years old, WFR certified, and have experience leading groups outdoors in a variety of environments. They must be able to facilitate laughter and games as well as provide leadership. The position is compensated at $450 per week and includes a paid week-long staff training, all meals (you will eat well!), accommodation, travel expenses, industry pro deals on outdoor gear, and an incredible staff culture.
Job Requirements
Global Adventure Challenges provide life-changing charity challenges for individuals and groups looking for adventure, whilst raising funds for their chosen charities. These events range from trekking the Inca Trail to cycling around Vietnam & Cambodia. You will be responsible for planning, organising and leading a number of these challenges throughout the year whilst implementing organisation programming and engaging participants in experiential learning.
Applicants should be flexible and adaptable, and have previous leadership experience working with teenagers. They will also be able to demonstrate strong commitment to the mission of the company and show enthusiasm for facilitating adventure-based activities and travel.
First-year Leader salaries start at $450/week plus paid week long staff training, all meals on program, accommodations while traveling to the far corners of the globe, travel expenses and industry pro deals on outdoor gear. Interested candidates must be 21 years or older, college graduates or those working towards a degree, WFR certified and be able to provide excellent references.

This is a challenging trek designed to test your boundaries and give you the feeling that you have accomplished something incredible! Departing on 14th September 2023, the trek follows the Machame Route, which enables gradual acclimatisation to altitude. Global Adventure Challenges will provide exceptional care and support for you throughout your journey!
Training

They are leaders, teachers and mentors who facilitate positive group dynamics, teach leadership skills and empower participants to seek and contribute to change in their communities and around the world.
Training is provided for all positions. This is done through a combination of onsite in-person training and online learning. Training is overseen by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), an industry leading standards body that provides the certification and training required for those working within the global challenge/adventure park industry. ACCT is the global leader in the development of industry wide standards and education for challenge courses/adventure parks and operates a comprehensive Certification Program and Professional Development Academy.
